I AM A CREATIVE
I have a passion for motion graphics. I love designing, and I love animating too. The entire creative process is magical, really. Currently, that’s my job - to design and/or animate breathtaking (and sometimes quite the opposite) visual experiences to captivate, inform and communicate something to various audiences. However, this is not my only passion.
I have a passion for video games. I was introduced to them with my SNES (when I was 4) and Super Metroid, and I’ve loved them ever since. I always wanted to make them. As I grew older, I still played them but I only saw myself as forever being a consumer. Recently, I did the visual design for a game called Shapes & Sound with some friends, and I absolutely loved it. Through the ups and downs of the project, I really enjoyed the entire process, sometimes even more than working in motion graphics.
I guess the thing is, I don’t want to just do motion graphics anymore. Yes, it’s my bread and butter and probably will be for a while, but I want to create breathtaking interactive experiences as well as just visual ones. And so begins my journey to programming and learning Unity 3D. I have so many ideas, and I’m sure it’ll be a riveting experience.
At the end of the day, I’ve come to realize that I’m not just a motion graphics designer & animator (though that is my current job description). I’m not even simply a designer.
At the end of the day, I am a creative.
